Residential trips

Why not come and join us for a residential trip at Woodlands Adventure outdoor activity centre, in our modern, fully equipped residential building choosing from our overnight, full week or half week options?  Exciting educational, fun and exhilarating activities during the day followed by a camp fire, games and a woodland walk by night, creating memories to last a lifetime!

We have fully equipped, safe and welcoming facilities to cater for your needs.  Residential trips are extremely popular therefore early booking is strongly advisable – even up to a year in advance in main term time.

Our fully central heated residential buildings, split over two buildings, are conveniently located close together.  They can accommodate a minimum group of 30 and up to 64 people, plus 8 leaders.

  • The dormitories comprise two large rooms, each sleeping 32 people in bunk beds, with toilet facilities. We also provide two leader rooms, each with two single beds and separate leaders’ WCs.  All beds have a fitted bottom sheet ready to use on your arrival.
  • The main building (The Saintbury Building), has a large hall and kitchen used for eating and preparing meals. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, commercial toaster, griddle, 2 catering ovens, 8 gas ring hob, microwave, large fridge and chest freezer.  Pots, pans, cutlery etc. are all supplied.
  • The hall is also used for evening entertainment having a projector, stereo, a pool table and table tennis equipment. WIFI is available at no extra cost but we ask for a deposit on the games equipment which is fully refundable on their safe return. This building also contains two large bathrooms with showers and disabled facilities. On the first floor, there are a further two leaders’ rooms with bunk beds for four people, separate shower facilities and a lounge area for some quiet time.
  • We also have a BBQ facility with picnic tables outside the buildings, fantastic in the warm summer months for dining outdoors and breathing in some fresh country air.
  • The sports hall, has been recently refurbished with LED lighting, is available in the evening for games and archery sessions during inclement weather.
  • We have a laundry room with a heavy duty commercial washing machine and tumble dryer.  A £10.00 charge per visit is payable to use this facility.  Washing powder is provided and an outdoor washing line is also available.
  • The safety of our visitors is paramount.  Flood lighting lights up the area in front of the buildings and both residential buildings are fitted with a monitored fire alarm system and fire extinguishers.  A duty instructor is always on site throughout your visit.  In addition we have a CCTV system covering the main gate and top car parks.  Gates are closed in the evenings and all visitors have to report in when arriving on site.
