The team went above and beyond for this year’s annual pirate themed day visit with the children from Shrubbery School last week. Amy, Becky, Kai and Matt, looked the part in their fancy dress, pirate flags were attached to the boats on the lake, everyone wore a pirate eye patch and the team put on sword fight as the children arrived on their coach. The day started with kayaking and canoeing, followed by the assault course. After lunch everyone sat round to draw a pirate boat, before returning to school. We are not sure who had the most fun, the staff were so excited and the day produced copious amounts of smiles all round. A fantastic day was had by all.
C Duckworth, Deputy Head Teacher said “Please pass on my thanks to the team that oversaw our visit to Woodlands last Friday (27th). The children and staff had a fantastic visit and gained much from the personal skills point of view openly admitting where they had felt challenged but also who in the class had supported them, which was brilliant to hear 6 year old’s discussing. But of course the best bit in their eyes was being given the eye patch”
