Orienteering
Woodlands Adventure activity Centre offers orienteering at our onsite woodlands. Designed for all ages of explorers to test their navigational skills, navigating from point to point with just a map and a small team.
This is a fun and diverse activity suitable for all. The courses here at Woodlands Adventure outdoor activity Centre, are designed to suit a wide range of abilities. Using the features of the land to orientate to the map on either of our two courses.
This activity is ideal for promoting team building, as the orienteering team will need to work alongside one another to navigate to each point on the map. As well as promoting problem solving, time management, trust, independence, confidence and navigational skills.
Woodlands Explorer
Explore and learn about the natural environment while also developing communication and leadership skills. Using modern GPS navigation units and short range 2-way radios (walkie-talkies) participants will be sent off around the Woodlands site to find fact-files about the local wildlife before answering quiz questions set by the instructors over the radios. Team work and decision making will be crucial as the group operate the electronic equipment and lead themselves around the course.
So come along to Woodlands and see if you and your group can fine tune your navigational skills, as well as having a great deal of fun and adventure along the way!
